Last Nine-Weeks at NLRHS East Campus

Thought I might catch you up as we are winding down the last 9 weeks of the school year. We have lots going on. As you well know this is our testing month. Last week all 9th grade students took the SAT10, this week on the 16th and 17th all 10th grade Biology students will be taking Biology EOC, next week,Tuesday through Friday all Geometry and Algebra I students will be taking their EOC's in those areas, and last but not least, May 7th will be the Algebra II EOC. I think out of the 5 tests almost everyone will have tested twice. Whew!!!!!!!!
As usual I want to add to make sure that your child gets plenty of rest and eats a good breakfast.

If you have a student playing a Spring Sport (softball, baseball, track, soccer) please make sure that you have checked with the coaches about their schedules. These rain out days are adding up.

Over the last couple of years we have had an Ice Cream Social sponsored by the NLR Chamber Education Foundation and Pulaski Tech. Those students who still qualify for Arkansas Scholars will be able to attend. (I always like this). It will be held May 2nd during 4th period.

May 10th-Elementary Dance Workshop- 9:00-12:00 East Campus Auditorium
May 17th-Dance Concert-3:00 East Campus Auditorium
May 19th-Choir Concert-7:00 East Campus Auditorium
May 20th-Graduation- Altell Arena
May 22nd-Athletic Banquet(JV and Varsity) 6:30 Woody's Sherwood Forest
May 26th-Holiday
May 28th-June 2nd finals- June 2nd will be the makeup day for snow

I will send band dates when I know I have them correct.

Please don't forget to buy your tickets for the Dillards night, May 2nd. The tickets are $35.00. $10.00 goes to the PTSA and you receive a gift card as you enter the store for $25.00. Your name is also placed in a drawing for a $500.00 shopping spree at Dillards.

Thanks to all those who have volunteered to be on the PTSA board for next year. I am looking forward to another great year.
