Registration for the District’s Early Childhood Programs

PreK Information
A child must be 4 years of age by AUGUST 15, 2009 OR 3 years of age by AUGUST 1, 2009.

The North Little Rock School District has 25 pre-kindergarten classrooms serving a total of 479 three- and four year old children.  Classrooms are located at Redwood Early Childhood and Family Resource Center, Lynch Drive Elementary, Glenview Elementary, Seventh Street Elementary, Boone Park Elementary, North Heights Elementary, Pike View Elementary, and Amboy Elementary. 

In January 2006, the District opened an infant and toddler center at Argenta Academy for children (6 weeks through 3 years) of students enrolled in District secondary schools.

Pre-K (3-4 year old) applications are available at all District
elementary schools and the District Central Office.  Applications
for the infant and toddler program are available at all District
secondary schools.

Children must be 3 or 4 years old on or before September 15, 2006 to be eligible for the pre-kindergarten program.

You will need the following documents when applying for early childhood services:                                                                                                

1. The child’s birth certificate
2. The child’s shot record
3. The child’s Social Security number if they have one
4. The child’s Medi-caid or ARKids 1^st number if applicable
5. Proof of address that you live in the North Little Rock School District (pre-k only)
6. Proof of 1 month’s income for all wage earners in the household
