Understanding Human Behavior: This is a 1 semester course which assists students in health career goals to learn basic principles of human behavior and how to effectively interact with patients. |
Med Pro I: This course focuses on the interest of the students who want to pursue a career in the medical field. Students are taught basic patient care skills, and have the opportunity to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Students will shadow a health care professional each week at a local hospital. College Credit Earned. | Med Pro II: Emphasis for Senior medical students is Pharmacy Technician Assistant Certification. Students will continue to shadow at UAMS and various local pharmicies. |
| Nursing Assistant: Students will learn basic patient care skills, medical ethics, professionalism, patient's rights, and have the opprotunity to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Teacher recommendation/approval. |
